About the Artist

Mariann Seward

I’m Coast Salish from Le’eyqsun, W̱SÁNEĆ, Stz’uminus, Pune’luxutth, and Snuneymuxw Nations. Born on unceded Quw’utsun Territory. I reconnect to culture through Hul’q’umi’num, beadwork, canoeing, harvesting, hiking, cold dips, sports, boxing, and growth.

My mom, sober 18+ years, taught me resilience and healthy living. I help create safe spaces like Team 700 where youth feel supported. Boxing is my sanctuary. I grow with each session. Support by buying art, beadwork, or booking a workshop. huy’tseep’qu ah siem nu siiyey’
